How do I prepare for Camp Crop Alot? In order to maximize your cropping time at Camp Crop Alot, I suggest having your album project goals in mind. For instance, plan and prepare the specific pages/photos you will be working on by having the photos organized and ready to scrapbook along with the supplies needed to put together these pages. Prepare a plan for the pages you hope to accomplish. At Camp Crop Alot, the combined creativity of you and your buddies near you will generate fabulous ideas for your layouts. When you are really stuck, there will be a whole room full of very qualified people to offer suggestions. Be sure to bring many photos for more pages than you think you will be able to accomplish! You certainly do not want to run out of material to crop! What if you forget something? Chances are excellent you'll find what you need in the Camp Store.
Can I sit with my friends? We will make sure that you and your friends will sit together and sleep in the same room (if possible?). When you register, please list any friends that are planning to come.
Is it safe to leave my supplies in the crop room overnight during a full weekend retreat? Yes! The space assigned to you is your spot for the duration of the Camp Crop Alot. We will do everything in our power to make sure the room is secure, but Camp Crop Alot cannot be held responsible for your belongings.
What is provided at the Camp Crop Alot House?
- Black Leather Rolling Chair
- Tag-A-Long drink and trash bag holder
- Daylight Bulbs over each table
- Linens...Twin sheets, Blanket, Pillow, Towels and washclothes (please keep your towel the entire weekend, there are hooks in each bedroom)
- Toiletries...Soap, Shampoo, Conditioner, Toothpaste.
What should I bring? Try to consolidate your supplies, as it's hard to tell how much room you'll have around you at each retreat. You will have 4' of your own personal cropping space, so organize your supplies to be readily available within your reach. I suggest the folding cooling racks that you can buy at WalMart or through Pampered Chef, so that you can store your tools vertically on your space. We will have several Sizzix diecut machines, cutting tools etc for you to use.
Comfy clothes. Bring along a sweater if you are cold natured. Don't forget your PJs and underwear, also comfy slippers
Ear Plugs and/or Tylenol PM (very important if you are bothered by snorers)?? LOL
Camera - take pictures of your new friends and remember all the fun you had at the Camp Crop Alot retreat. (Another excuse to use all those cute crop themed stickers you just had to have!)
Cash and/or your checkbook - Scrapbooking products will be available for purchase throughout the weekend.
Above all, bring a great attitude or we'll freeze your bra while you're sleeping LOL!!! Come ready to learn new techniques and to share your own expertise. Come ready to meet new friends. And finally, be prepared for a blast!
